Wayne David Atherholt

Wayne Atherholt has recently joined the Morean Arts Center as Director of Marketing & Communications. He served as the first Marketing Director for the Dali Museum for 8 years and Vice President of Marketing for the Titanic Exhibition at Florida International Museum.

Atherholt left St Petersburg in 2001 to serve as Vice President of MOSI in Tampa, and most recently as Executive Director for the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach. Atherholt was a former Chairman of the Florida Attractions Association, and he serves on the board of the Florida Association of Museum.

His community service while in St Petersburg was extensive. In the 1990’s, he was part of “Common Ground,” the committee that helped start the Downtown Looper Trolley and First Friday.

Atherholt is one of the several new key senior management additions to the Morean Arts Center staff by Katee Tully, Executive Director. “The Morean is poised to become the arts hub of St Petersburg and our commitment to attracting the best and brightest individuals is unwavering. The individuals with their experience exemplify the direction we are headed,” she added.
