Mindy Solomon,
Mindy Solomon Gallery

An artist, educator, advocate, collector, and now, gallery owner, Mindy Solomon has dedicated her life to the visual arts. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Studio Art and Art Education from Case Western Reserve University, and furthered additional coursework at Ursuline College, the Lacoste School of the Arts in France (under the Cleveland Institute of Art), and the Tyler School of the Arts.

In both her personal and professional life, Solomon emphasizes community exchange, engagement, and empowerment in and through the arts. In fact, after relocating her family from Cleveland to Dunedin in 1994, Solomon became involved in civic, philanthropic, and religious causes in the Bay Area community, and even worked on bringing art education programs to the youth.

For her new gallery just off Beach Drive, Solomon reaches out to diverse cultural communities to compile her exhibitions, which are rotated out every six weeks, and therefore provide the opportunity to showcase a wide variety of contemporary sculptural works in clay, narrative drawing, painting, and photography. Solomon and those associated with the gallery hope to promote a comfortable, exciting, and dynamic environment where visitors feel free to explore the collections, to question the flexible concept of aesthetics, and to possibly even envision building collections of their own.
