Mike Cheezem of JMC Communities is a second-generation developer who began his career while still in college, when he and two friends built and quickly sold an eight unit apartment complex. He founded JMC Development, Inc. in 1972 and JMC Communities in 1978. Mike has successfully directed the purchase, development, construction and sales of 17 communities on both Florida coasts, and is also currently partnered with Hampton Inn on Beach Drive.

Mike grew up in St. Petersburg and enjoys all that it has to offer. In addition to boating, fishing and SCUBA, Mike loves to fly and obtained a pilot’s license while in high school. He holds a BA in Finance from FSU, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina. Mike is happily married to Katherine White and is the proud father of five children.
