Katee Tully,
Morean Arts Center

Katee Tully joined the Morean Arts Center in April 2008 as the Capital-Campaign Director, and accepted the Executive Director's position in March of 2009. In her short tenure, Katee has overseen the opening of the Chihuly Collection and the Glass Studio & Hot Shop.

Prior to her academic career, Katee trained as a master jeweler, opening retail shops in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Gatlinburg, and Tallahassee.

Katee spent twenty years in higher education leadership positions in North Carolina and New York. During her ten years with East Carolina University, she implemented a nationally recognized leadership program which was featured on PBS.

Katee moved to NYC to join Medgar Evers College, where she directed the School of Continuing Education & External Programs. She then became Dean of Continuing Education & Workforce Development at Manhattan Community College. Her facility was crushed in the World Trade Center disaster of 9/11. Under her leadership, she relocated her program to another facility and had it up and running within weeks.

Katee Tully's unique background has shaped her to be the right leader at the right time for the Morean Arts Center.
