Charlie Bolt,
General Manager Cha Cha Coconuts

General Manager Charlie Bolt of Cha Cha Coconuts at the Pier and his enthusiastic staff are tremendous ambassadors for Downtown St Petersburg. Charlie began his tenure at Cha Cha Coconuts in 1988 as a bartender and for the past 22 years has been General Manager.

Charlie especially enjoys working with the Gonzmart family, currently in their 5th generation of ownership of the Columbia Restaurants and Cha Cha Coconuts. Charlie was instrumental in the opening of the Cha Cha Coconuts locations in Sarasota and on Sand Key. He credits mentors Danny Manzon, his original General Manager at Cha Cha Coconuts, Guy Campbell, his Vice President for 12 years and Curt Gaither, current Director of Operations, for their guidance and support.

In his time away from work Charlie’s love of the water has earned him the nickname “Aqua Bolt.” His numerous water-related activities include open water swimming in the Gulf, surfing and standup paddle-boarding. He has enjoyed playing the drums since the age of 5 and enjoys spending time with his daughter Gabriela.

Charlie and his staff have hosted many major events through the years, including the ESPN broadcast location for the NCAA Final Four Basketball Tournament, Honda Grand Prix parties and numerous events for ABC, CBS and NBC. Charlie has always enjoyed serving the community by hosting parties for many fundraisers including the annual St Anthony’s Leukemia Foundation Triathlon.
